Abstract

How do you envision mobile computing in the future? Is it just about laptops getting smaller or handhelds getting bigger screens? Is it the same old applications - Internet access, productivity applications, mail, calendar? Or are there new applications, new usages, new experiences that make mobile computing a more integral fabric of every aspect of our lives? Can machines anticipate our needs and act on our behalf? What are the key technical advances and challenges in this area? How can we realize the vision of highly aware, personalized and truly accessible mobile devices that understand us and guide us in our daily life?
