CENS Ethics Program

Our goal for the CENS Ethics Education Program comes directly from our cooperative agreement, which is to “establish a program of ethics training within the cross-disciplinary and multi-institutional context of the Center for all Center and subawardee staff, including faculty, visiting faculty, industrial fellows, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students.” As part of our ongoing ethics seminars, we continue to discuss relevant ethics topics both in relation to our research (e.g., authorship, codes of conduct, and patents) and in terms of the ethical implications of CENS technology (e.g., issues related to pervasive computing).
